Designing  Transformative Learning Spaces. Registration open.

Action Research has been on the rise…

with co-Stewards Claude Siegenthaler and Hilary Bradbury.

Action research is on the rise. How can it be more transformative? How can it include development of self and community in ways that respond to the complexity of our times?

We’re inviting educators who design and lead learning spaces, such as program or classroom leaders to convene in a peer learning (action oriented!) environment.

Our intention is to help one another create more effective, more transformative, learning designs. We’ll also inquire into the principles that scaffold transformative learning spaces in support of ART, i.e., Action-oriented Research for Transformations.

During each session we will work with a case study prepared by one of the protagonist-participants. Participants will rotate the role, bringing their real life curriculum for consultation, ideally allowing for inspired experimentation with new ARTistic practices.  We imagine that each case can be discussed at least twice –allowing for learning about “current state & aspiration” perspective followed later with a debrief: What experiments worked and what did not work.

Knowledge about better designed learning spaces – and how to ensure them – will help support Action-oriented Researchers for Transformation (ART) and a next generation of ARTists.

Read more – and check out the short video in which Claude and Hilary  distill what they learned in their first consciously transformative learning experiment  – with three cohorts of executive doctoral students in Switzerland.

Co-lab will meet First Thursdays, October 2019 – May 2020 at 07.30 California time — 15.30 UK

Register your space.

Free Invitational taster is on September 19th
