Holiday Greetings – AR+ Foundation Board<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

At AR+ we encourage<\/strong> scholarly-practice in the transformative space between our \u201cinner and outer worlds.\u201d\u00a0 We raise consciousness about participative scholarship and promote its role in moving our society toward sustainability. AR+ supports community, content and curriculum as we seek to support a next generation of Action Researchers for Transformations aka ARTists.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2019<\/strong>\u00a0with increased clarity about\u00a0Action-oriented Research for Transformations<\/a>,\u00a0 we saw ART come to life in special issues, e.g., Action Research and Climate Transformations.<\/a>\u00a0 We’ve also seen exciting new co-labs<\/a> as our circle widens to include new friends and partners<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We focused our mission<\/strong>, both at AR+ and the Action Research journal, to encourage scholarly-practice that attends to the call of external demands at this time of Eco-Social crisis AND the inner work that cultivates our reflexive capacity as agents of transformative learning.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2019<\/strong> we we produced and enjoyed a powerful first Gathering of the global AR+ community at Chalmers U on International Women\u2019s Day in March<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Conversations that started there have since led to \u201caccomplishing more together.\u201d For example:<\/p>\n

Co-labs<\/strong>: After the success of winter webinars and and spring tasters<\/a>, Thomas McIntyre inspired participants with the first in a new series using the living spiral co-lab<\/a>. Ongoing co-labs today include MICA, a co-lab<\/a> on mindful creativity, and\u00a0 Designing Transformative Learning Spaces<\/a>. Co-labs are developed with our organizational stewards, e.g., On Research design and Writing<\/a>, a partnership with J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping Academy Center for coproduction at J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping University.\u00a0We are also excited to see Developmental Leadership for Transformations\u00a0<\/a>address individual and collective action at this time of Eco-Social crisis.<\/p>\n

We invite you to participate in a co-lab as an opportunity to connect with a global community of learning\/practice.<\/p>\n

Cookbooks<\/strong>: We launched a new Spanish\/English \u201cCookbook\u201d<\/a> at the incendiary Transformations 2019 conference<\/a> in Santiago, Chile. AR+ Cookbooks provide accessible stories and resources for self and community transformation in the ART spirit. They share the fruits of our partnerships and solutions oriented reflexive scholarship.<\/p>\n

AR+ Cookbooks may well be the perfect Holiday Gift for the scholar-practitioner in your life!<\/p>\n
