The Gathering convenes scholars <em>and<\/em> practitioners. In this short clip Steve emphasizes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/l1bryc7n1yn0r6t\/Steve_AORT.m4v?dl=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">core principles<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Because you&#8217;re engaged in creating transformative knowledge, emphasizing participation, (self-) inquiry, action and deeper values orientation, you belong! We see our transdisciplinary work not only as an alternative, but also as a complement, to conventional ways of doing &#8220;objective&#8221; science. We want our research to be more useful in the crises of sustainability; we need our collaborations connected up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What we&#8217;ll accomplish:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For ourselves:\n<ul>\n<li>Finding \u201ctribe.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Learning new leading practices with new collaborators.<\/li>\n<li>Feeling nourished &amp; empowered as an action oriented transformative knowledge creator (bring your yoga mat!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>With one another, together:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/xagc3eh0jabgqek\/GULP%20December2018%20Watermark.pages?dl=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GULP: A Global Unifying (university, ubuntu) Learning Platform<\/a>: A sandbox experiment in support of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/sustainable-development-goals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SDGs<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Defining and developing action-oriented research projects to cohere and advance our collective work, e.g., action oriented transformative knowledge creation manifesto, funding proposals&#8230;next steps together to enable our efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(69, 126, 172);\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 22px;\">Come, be part of shaping this community!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 22px;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Because our global community has not been connected up to date, we welcome like-hearted scholars, practitioners and activists to connect, to feel replenished and find new strengths for our next experiments in a global learning community. Our unusual emphasis on community building calls you to participate as a founder\/co-generator of a new <em><strong>proto-community <\/strong>which will take form&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>during the&nbsp;<span style=\"color: rgb(69, 126, 172);\">AR+ Transformations Gathering <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">and continue afterwards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>When you sign up we invite you to share your personal and community intentions. We also invite you to consider, with us, what can we accomplish together. Johanneberg Campus<\/a>. &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goteborg.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gothenburg, Sweden<\/a>, is situated on the sea. This west coast city was recently celebrated as the #1 sustainable destination city. &nbsp;We&#8217;ll meet in the bright &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/maps.chalmers.se\/#c45d267e-6e95-4416-8aa8-7651809efbd7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vera&#8217;s Lawn<\/a>,&#8221; named for Sweden&#8217;s first woman engineer &#8211; (see map:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Vera+Sandbergs+all%C3%A9+8,+411+33+G%C3%B6teborg,+Sweden\/@57.6933234,11.972868,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x464ff3730c91470f:0x8ad7158cb8761158!8m2!3d57.6933234!4d11.9750566\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">address: Vera Sandbergs all\u00e9 8<\/a>). This is a new venue designed for innovation events at the university. &nbsp;The campus is situated on excellent public transport.
